Fort Peck Reservoir

Fort Peck Map

Simply my favorite body of water in the world! This lake has so much to offer! Fort Peck is the fifth largest artificial lake in the United States. It extends 134 miles through central Montana’s badlands, and its twisting, inlet-studded shoreline has a total length of an incredible 1,520 miles. The lake covers an area of 245,000 acres making it the largest in Montana by surface area. The lake holds an astounding forty six different species of fish according to Montana fish, wildlife and parks. The fish we focus on here are the walleye, Pike, Smallmouth Bass, Lake trout, perch and crappie. The great thing about this lake is when you set the hook you might not know what species you have on! Plan on catching multiple species of fish here every day. We base our trips out of Rock Creek Marina in the spring and later in the summer move to Hell Creek Marina. There are lodging available at both places but must be reserved as soon as possible as they fill up fast. This is a trip you might want to book at least a few days together to fish. It is known for having some really windy days that can keep us off of the water. This is a must do trip for any outdoorsman!

PIKE / BASS FLY FISHING TRIPS ON FORT PECK

We also offer our specialty trip here for fly-fishing for pike and bass. We are the only outfitters in the state that offer this trip. This trip is based out of Rock Creek, MT. You can expect to do some sight fishing for pike in the swallow bays and rocky points in the spring. Talk about an adrenaline rush! These pike are ferocious and attack your streamer at full speed! We throw cisco and perch pattern streamers secretly tied up to ten inches long. This is by far one of the funnest adventures you will ever do!
